Popplet is an app for the web and iPad, where you can collect, curate and share your ideas, inspirations, and projects.

This is a neat blog I found that has cool ideas about ipad integration in the classroom, apps to use, and other resources for 21st century learners.

This website gives a definition of technology and how it is used in education. It also describes technology educational goals and strands of learning technology.

This is a school site in Austrailia that I stumbled upon (I know it's Austrailia but it is really interesting in how they break down technology education). It talks about technology being the know-how and creative processes that help people use tools in their everyday lives. The site then proceeds to explain technology in the classroom.

Free interactive story maker

Visual Dictionary, where words are defined as pictures, for leaning the exact names of objects. Different from a traditional dictionary or from encyclopedia because the images replace the words.

Task cards are a great way for students to work independently by being prompted with a series of activities to complete or questions to answer. Task cards are easy to make and are very efficient. Listed on this website are some Literacy based task cards created by Mrs. McDavid for Literacy Centers.

This website has a variety of online books. They are free and have read aloud audio. Besides the stories there are other tools on the site that can be used. I have used this is my class to read an Arthur book that I did not have. Great resource!

I read about this site through my tech reading this week- but thought it was worth posting again! This site is said to be a combination of Facebook, Wikipedia and YouTube all in one! Yet- the focus is on education. Looks like yet another great way to collaborate and share!

Easy-to-use online scheduling software. Teachers create a customized schedule as well as notice and reporting settings in minutes. I think I might try it for my class next year for meetings, and maybe add Skype conferences.
