Ideas para celebrar Halloween en clase (o con la familia en casa!) ya que el aprendizaje de una lengua no se limita al contenido lingüístico sino que hay que incluir contenidos culturales tales como tradiciones y fiestas. Hay que aprender y divertirse!!!

I am going to use some material from the webquest about Halloween with my 2 groups of 2° Bachillerato this week. In this sense, they will have to read and answer the questions about The origins of Halloween and The practice of treat or trick. Finally, they will talk about Halloween in Spain. All this will cover the four skills and I hope they will learn about this Celtic festival.

I am going to use contents related to British culture, which isn´t widely included in the textbooks. For example, students will read the text about Guy Fawkes and they will do comprehension activities such as true-false sentences and some questions. They will also do some vocabulary activities: -find or give synonyms or opposites. -give a word with the root . Next, they will have to give their opinion about this British festival. Finally, they will write an informal letter talking about a Spanish festival to a foreign friend. Thanks to all these activities they learn about Guy Fawkes Night.
