Preparation for Online Learning

This painter is one of my favorites. She was one of the few women painters of her day who was acclaimed in her own time.

I am very familiar with Mary Cassatt. She is usually the only woman painter included in articles about Impressionist painters. I think her work is wonderful! Thomas Kinkade is a very successful artist. Isn't it great to be able to look up paintings on line? The only bad thing is that sometimes the photos don't catch the color as well as the genuine article. I am hoping I will able to go to Chicago sometime this year to visit the Chicago Art Institute. They have one of the largest collections of Impressionist art in the world. The first time I went there I almost cried. I was so startled by the actual beauty of some of the paintings that I had seen many times in pictures. I also really like Renoir and Monet. I think the more paintings I see, the more artists I like.

This is very interesting to see what people say about technology and the advancements that it has made.

I really liked this- I need to update my tech knowledge- this class has shown me that. I'm thinking about the smart phone but not entirely sure if I'd really use it. I don't really use my basic cell phone- if I can find it that is!

I haven't tried this, but looks like it might be of interest for those who want to create an online course schedule.

A new-to-me tool for online cooperative learning.

I find audacity very helpful for giving students feedback on larger assignments. Also, I've enjoyed having students submit work to me using audacity. Sometimes it is just nice to hear their voices!
