MUMBAI: Shiv Sena, a hardline Hindu nationalist party, Monday demanded Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar to immediately leave India. Dar is performing his duty in ongoing India home series against South Africa. The demand comes from Shiv Sena a few hours after it's workers attacked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) head quarters in MUMBAI ahead of Indo-Pak cricket talks.
MUMBAI: Shiv Sena workers on Monday stormed the office of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in MUMBAI to protest BCCI officials meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials, Samaa reported quoting Indian media. According to the reports, the Hindu fundamentalists were holding placard bearing slogan "Shaharyar Khan Go Back", referring to PCB Chairman.
KARACHI: Engineer Rashid, an independent Muslim lawmaker from Indian-occupied Kashmir, paid a tribute to Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah for creating a separate country for the Muslims of sub-continent. "I salute Mr Jinnah for his struggle," Engineer Rashid, who was attacked by extremist group Hindu Sena in Mumbai today, told SAMAA in a telephonic interview.
