"On behalf of PTI and Chairman Imran Khan, I wish to bring to your immediate attention the sudden release of advertisements by the PML-N Punjab government just two days before the bye-election in NA-122.

"If PML-N is caught rigging this time, the government will have to pack up," he warned. He alleged that the PML-N was bringing people from across the province to NA-122 for its political rally.

LAHORE: Maintaining his winning streak, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PMLN) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Sunday defeated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Abdul Aleem Khan by a very close margin in NA-122 (Lahore) by-election, Samaa reported. Unofficial results say Ayaz Sadiq got away with 73440 while Aleem Khan drew in 72043 votes from 284 polling stations.

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday declared Ayaz Sadiq and Shoaib Siddiqui, winners of NA-122 and PP-147 in by-elections. According to ECP, Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Sardar Ayaz Sadiq retained his constituency by gaining 74,525 votes while Aleem Khan got 72,082 in NA-122.

LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Samiul Haq (JUI-S) has decided to support PML-N candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in bye-polls on NA-122, Samaa reported Friday. The decision was revealed by Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and JUI-S local leaders at a press conference in Lahore's Saman Abad area today. With large political shows and all hullaballoo, stage is set for Oct.

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan accused the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of planning to carry out rigging in the upcoming by-election of NA-122 at women polling stations. "I want to ask my tigresses to remain alert in order to foil PML-N's plans to rig the by-election," Khan said while addressing a large gathering of supporters at Doongi Ground in Samanaabad area of Lahore.

Mian Maqsood, Ameer of JI's Lahore chapter, said his party would also support PTI in PP-147 by-polls. "We will jointly contest elections with the PTI," Maqsood said. Yesterday, a PTI delegation led by Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar had met JI's Lahore ameer and sought his party's support in NA-122 against ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
