PODS Digital Portfolio

Pros: 1.Has a very personal feel. 2.Gallery is easy, and every thumbnail doesn't change size with mouseover. 3.Friendly interface, not in any danger of being confusing. Cons: 1.Clicking on an image makes it awkwardly cover the rest of the page and you must use the back button to get out of it. 2.Automatic slideshow, moves fast with no pause button. 3.Typos/grammar mistakes.

Pros: 1. Visually intriguing background that doesn't distract. 2. Clear navigation. 3. Concise information, not overbearing but still gets it's point across. Cons: 1. Slow to switch pages. 2. The slideshow is distracting/confusing ,and only 3 images. 3. Font and background similar colors.

Pros: 1. all the information concluded in one page 2. a good slide title shows the best works. 3. it is easy to find his works. Cons: 1. need to category his works, it is a little mass. 2. some words are too small to see. 3. images are not big enough

Likes: Elegant Layout, easy to understand. No pages to worry about flipping through, everything is there. The black background works well with the content of the images, and the text. You can tell it was done by a designer. Dislikes: Scrolling down is a little old fashioned, and could lead some people to overlook what's on the bottom of the page. Format wouldn't work so well with separate projects.

Pros 1) Reads like a magazine, interesting approach 2) Images cross over the binding 3) Beautiful images and glamour shots Cons 1) Doesn't set up the problem space 2) No evidence of actually working out issues, only making things look good 3) Minimal process

Pros 1) Great integration of rendering and into the process 2) Each page has a visual focus, then branches to other images or text 3) Very clean, even though each page is filled with visuals/information Cons 1) No real feeling to what the designer's process is 2) Renderings are not integrated into an environment 3) There are no stories or inspiration pages behind the pieces (Aleks Magi)

Pros - Simple link layout separating between indoor and outdoor - Excellent content - link to shop for immediate purchase Cons: - Should have thumbnail links to all images within categories - do not like the scroll sideways up and down to see whole image in screen - shouldn't have to look for next button to get to next image

Pros 1) Consistent layout makes the portfolio easy to read 2) Text and product titles are unique to each project 3) Nice variety of sketches, renderings and physical prototypes Cons 1) Lacks a table of contents or sub category dividers, which would tell the reader what they're seeing 2) Cover and final pages have a competitive aesthetic with the rest of the portfolio 3) Too much writing to read everything...important text should be different (larger, colored, bold etc.)

Pros 1) Text and objects are spaced well on the pages 2) Use of color is effective in separating different types of design work 3) The "about me" section gives the reader insight to his character outside of design Cons 1) Text scanned in from drawings is too small 2) Lack of sensible "flow" Product Design projects come up twice during the portfolio but in different places 3) The "about me" should be on the last page, if someone likes his work, they will make it to the end of his portfolio where they can learn more about him as a person

Pros: -Interesting work -Large pictures of work/ promo things immediately give feel of street art - Specific categories Cons: - Should use different and smaller text - Could fit everything into the screen so viewer doesn't have to scroll to see the full page - In about section could be more personal instead of link to wikipedia

Pros: - Straightforward categories on home page -Easy navigation, can get to everywhere at all times Cons: - Almost too many links, some go to the same place - Could be simplified - image links could be more specific (a little confusing when no number is highlighted and there is just a blank screen)

Pros: -Very interesting work - Can get to any piece at all times - Simple Cons: - Not a very interesting layout -small title and info links contrast poorly with huge image thumbnails - Looks quickly done

Likes: Compelling main page, text works well with colors. Easy navigation between galleries. Simple bar at bottom. Dislikes: The images are a little small once you enter the portfolio, and there are too many pages to go through to get there. Grey background distracts from images (should be black or white)

Likes: Good range of work showcased on the main page with the ability to choose between a variety of projects. Quality work, slightly unconventional layout. Dislikes: The black background on the text doesn't look good. Having all the images for each project load at once could be slow on some computers, although it is nice to be able to scroll through them all at once. It could be more designed. The background is rather generic.

Pros: 1. images fill entire screen 2.The projects are expressed in a clean and direct way 3. Easy to move back and forth. Cons: 1.images change too fast. 2. Some pages feel a little mass. 3. there some ugly pictures

Pros: 1. images here are nice. 2. the works are expressed in a clean and direct way. 3. Good style. Cons: 1. No music 2. images are too small. web does not fill out the screen. 3. you need to click many times too get into the project site

Pros: 1- Appealing use of words and font size (see also con). 2- images fill entire screen. 3- Incredibly dynamic with video clips of space in use- especially the performing spaces. Cons: 1- Words are sometimes obscured with the image behind. 2- It can be a little too active with the rapid image shifts when scrolling across and the video clips jumping in. 3- Interaction with the site sometimes takes precedence over connection with the work.
