Sunday I headed to our ponds to see what was going on.
One of the boys was going after something, I thought it was the frogs and I do not like them going after the frogs.
Much to my surprise it was not a frog the dog was going after, but this baby starling.
Flower season has started!!
I love photographing our flowers!!
So far bachelor buttons, Poppy,Iris, many wildflowers , and fruit trees are in bloom!
Here are some photographs I have gotten recently!
For a couple days now this little girl has been showing up.
When I first saw her I thought what a funny looking bird. Now that I have watched her for two days now, I feel rather sorry for her. It is our fault these birds are being altered like this, or this is the way I see it. Chemicals are more likely to blame.
I like watching the squirrels and the chipmunks.
This pair of Siskiyou Chipmunks was seen on our National Grasslands and we really do not see to many there.
As some people know September is Pain awareness month.
Why on earth do I care about such a thing as this?
Because I am one of the thirty four million Americans (yes I said thirty four million), who suffer from chronic pain.
I made my way outside as the sun was shining to sit in my chair.
With camera in hand my sons cat jumped the dogs fence and then on me to lay down in my lap.
Living in Jefferson County Oregon one thing is true, we have fires.
We also have VERY good fire fighters here! Everyone gets in the act. Water is turned on, volunteers stop what they are doing and jump in their trucks and off they run to whatever fire happens to break out!
Friday I was not around for Guy announced Thursday night we are heading out in the morning and to make sure battery is charging and my camera bag is ready to go!!
The truck, the dogs everything was ready to go as I was still wiping sleep out of my eyes early Friday morning!
Got fish??
One of the places I keep up with is the Wildlife Images Rehabilitation & Eduction Center. They called out for help. They need to feed the wildlife that is at their facility. Their 501 information;
Animal or Pet photography ranges from portraits of domesticated animals (from dogs to cats to birds) to more editorial type shots that strive to capture the beauty of animals (from horse and equine photography to photography shoots of the Big Five in Africa) interacting in their natural environment.
Meet the Sweat Bee. Rather pretty in color with the fluorescent green dont you think? The flower the Sweat Bee is feeding on is a wild Strawberry plant that just started growing on it's own. No doubt the seeds coming from the birds?
