Today's video tutorial is perfect for photography fans and anyone who enjoys working with motion graphics. It's an interesting effect that takes a static photograph and brings it to life with subtle movement, often referred to as 2.5D, or the parallax effect. The effect makes use of Adobe Photoshop to cut out an image, then uses the timeline feature to convert the still picture into a video. It works by clipping the image into different areas, then adding subtle movement so that the foreground and background move at different rates to create a slow motion panning effect.

These double crested cormorant are rather common here in our canyon. Here we have one taking off on this very cold, cloudy Saturday. I wanted to show the trail this bird left as it takes off. I was on one of the bridges as this bird was taking off in flight. The photo at the end is a cormorant I caught flying low where the bald eagles were fishing.

There was so many honeybees at the community garden I went to yesterday! I was doing all I could to keep up with the honeybees and take other photographs. This is on a squash flower and I gently pulled back on of the peddles to see what was inside. Many bees were inside doing their thing!
