This pair of Bald Eagles have been hanging around one of the lakes here for a couple weeks now. Saturday we had snow again, which is not a huge surprise. We took off in it and thought it was not a good idea to go down into the canyon so we headed in the direction of this lake. This pair of Bald Eagles we both agreed they must of came down from the Cascade Mountains for the better fishing and all around prey on what I call the flats. Not sure what others around here call this area. I call it the flats for one can actually walk it. I trekked out into the snow to capture these photographs. The one that is on the left is keeping it's eyes on me, that one seams to be the dominant Bald Eagle and the first to fly. The other followed.

I was down in the canyon, see the hawk photographs, when something caught my eye. The little guy made it obvious that I was being followed.

As I visualized my own eyes in the place of the leaves on wet pavement, the picture revived at once. Have a look

The above photos may look downbeat at first glimpse, yet the flat surface of the pictures will make you open your eyes with just incredible depth at a moment you recognize the symbolism of these images.

Friday I was not around for Guy announced Thursday night we are heading out in the morning and to make sure battery is charging and my camera bag is ready to go!! The truck, the dogs everything was ready to go as I was still wiping sleep out of my eyes early Friday morning!

You can also use a low angle and get really close to your unique element to emphasize it. If you have big colourful rocks, getting down low, and angling your camera upwards, will make them seem even larger. Whereas if you photograph them from eye level they may not look nearly as dramatic as you remember them being.

As the New Year rolls in, I find myself looking forward to new things-new directions, new goals, new relationships. Frame within a frame.

There was so many honeybees at the community garden I went to yesterday! I was doing all I could to keep up with the honeybees and take other photographs. This is on a squash flower and I gently pulled back on of the peddles to see what was inside. Many bees were inside doing their thing!
