We have snow, no big surprise seeing what time of the year it is. Stopping off at the horse camp the Robbins came over for their photographs to be taken. They made their presents known by coming right to the tree that was nearest me. There is two sets of photographs. This first set, this robbin was very funny!! Appeared to want me to see him/her feed on the juniper berries.

Mushroom Fungus Of Oregon Video I have not made it any secrete that I have many photographs of mushroom or fungus of Oregon. From wikipedia, "A mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground on soil or on its food source. Mushrooms are not plants: they are a fungus. They eat organic matter, they do not photosynthesize like plants do." Mushrooms are unique. They grow most everywhere, if one just looks. Some can be eaten, though really I do not have this kind of experience to put such things in my mouth. Though many do!! This is some of my photographs of mushrooms I just happen to come across. I do not go looking for them, they just happen to be where I am. Be it on trees, growing on the ground, or like one species it was hanging within the trees! Like that species just fell from the sky! Now some have been eaten by wildlife, some have wildlife in the photo! Some mushrooms are very big. Bigger then Guy's hand! Some species are very little. Some species do not even look like it should be a living thing! Nature is pretty neat!

We watched the Bald Eagles fishing for a while. I understand I need a better tele lens than what I have now for such things as this. It will come. I started out from the truck on the road. Looking down into the canyon I was not sure if I wanted to climb down but found myself doing it!! Guy parked the truck basically just on the dirt road. Over to the side the best he could just so if people were around they could get by it. No where to park! Soon Guy and the dogs were coming too, the dogs found me first of course! We all made our way down into the canyon to the water. Not only were the Bald Eagles fishing, other birds were as well. Their were two adult Bald Eagles and a younger Bald Eagle. The younger one kept trying to take the older ones fish! Big fights ensued. If I did have have this stupid tree in my way!! So we moved locations so the tree would no longer be in my way, though we were in full sight of the eagles as well. So the young Bald Eagle took off out of sight. It did appear that the Bald Eagles were curious as to what we were, and why we were there! They checked us out several times. Than the ducks, and other wildlife left. All three Bald Eagles took off to the other side of the canyon and that was that. To my understanding that side of the canyon belongs to the Warm Spring Indian Reservation, though I could be wrong. The older adults perched in the same tree, while the younger one went into a tree where he could hide from our view. We seen some of his white, but he was not to secure as the older ones were about us seeing him! It was pretty obvious that this younger Bald Eagle was not comfortable around people, or what the eagle did not understand. Here are several photographs of one of the older Bald Eagles fishing.

A group of photos taken in two places that Chicagoans find convenient, when they escape from the winter: largish domed gardens, a little big to just be called "greenhouses"; these places have full grown trees living inside of them. Emphasis, chosen by those submitting, seems to have been on shots taken very close in - "macros".

Some days the Mule Deer show themselves, while other days they do not. Saturday was a day to show themselves, and it just happened to be a snowy day here in the high desert. The buck was funny, he did hide his head, or tried the best he could at first. After some time of just watching him, snapping some photographs he must of figured I was ok and not there to hurt him for he came out in the open long enough for me to get quite a few shots, adjusting my lens as I went. With his breath seen and the one antler looking like it does.... he is unique looking! The does and the older fawn stopped long enough for me to snap some photographs as well. For those new to Mule Deer. The Mule Deer are very big deer. They are called Mule Deer due to their very large ears.

Many people come here in good weather to camp, boat, fish on and on. Many people do not get to see what we get to see in the winter. We chose where we wanted to go, and headed out. We were told of some snow but the weather channel is not real pacific here. A little snow mixed in with rain. Ok whatever what is new?? Than we got down into the canyon..... Saturday it just dumped on us! Snow is no big deal, it is the black ice we worry about!! More about my getting wildlife photography here in Oregon at my web site..... Notes: Exposure - The light meter is different from the exposure setting. - Keeping your light meter at "0" doesn't necessarily mean it's the perfect setting. Just don't stray too far from the "0". Adjust to your liking. - Positive numbers on your exposure setting will make your photos brighter. - Negative numbers make your photos darker. Aperture - Small numbers (like f/1.4) have larger openings, which let in more light. - Big numbers (like f/16) have smaller openings, which let in less light. Shutter Speed - Seeing 100, 250, 320, etc. on your viewfinder means "1/(number seen)", like "1/100". - Try not to use 1/60 or less when handheld, that's when you use a tripod or look for something steady. - Using longer exposure (slow shutter speed) will let in more light. - Using shorter exposure (fast shutter speed) will let in less light. ISO - ISO is the sensitivity of your camera to light - Lower numbers are less sensitive to light, which give smoother photos. - Higher numbers are very sensitive to light, which give very grainy and noisy photos.

I really focus on enjoying what I do so my thinking is only to accept work I really am enthusiastic about, with clients who respect my creative vision, that's what they hire me for, not just to press the shutter. I've worked with clients who literally were standing behind me explaining to me how to take photos. Never again! Big brands such as Adidas or Amazon are usually the ones who employ me but I also love to work for exciting start-ups.

You can also use a low angle and get really close to your unique element to emphasize it. If you have big colourful rocks, getting down low, and angling your camera upwards, will make them seem even larger. Whereas if you photograph them from eye level they may not look nearly as dramatic as you remember them being.

There are very basic things which will decide the outcome of your efforts and we will list them down for you here. Walls color and High Contrast: Go for white color for the entire room and put a decorative piece like painting or statue with high saturated color to stand out in the entire room. What we are going to tell you now is not rocket science. White color makes small rooms look big. Also, what is important is to know whether that room will have ample sunlight or not. Bald Eagle, Wild and Free As It Should Be. I found this eagle sitting high up on the hill in this tree watching down at the lake. I started to climb, stopping every other step or so to take shots. When I got to close, this bald eagle took flight, sorry to say in the other direction! The canyon is steep, so I made my way down to the truck where Guy and the dogs were waiting.
