OHSRA stands for Oregon High School Rodeo Association.
We headed over to the rodeo a little late. We seen a little of the goat roping when I was looking for a place that I could get photographs.
Living in Jefferson County Oregon one thing is true, we have fires.
We also have VERY good fire fighters here! Everyone gets in the act. Water is turned on, volunteers stop what they are doing and jump in their trucks and off they run to whatever fire happens to break out!
railroad tracks cascade mountains Oregon. This was truly way up in the cascades. We took this road and that one and here we were with a drop off. Turning around was entertaining!
This bird was brought up lately.
We were heading up into the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness and seen this bird. What caught my eye is the yellow/orange "eyebrows".
Well I just had to confront this fellow and take a photograph! I did not realize what I was in for!!
Many people come here in good weather to camp, boat, fish on and on.
Many people do not get to see what we get to see in the winter.
We chose where we wanted to go, and headed out. We were told of some snow but the weather channel is not real pacific here. A little snow mixed in with rain. Ok whatever what is new??
Than we got down into the canyon..... Saturday it just dumped on us! Snow is no big deal, it is the black ice we worry about!!
More about my getting wildlife photography here in Oregon at my web site..... What we wont do to get that photo!!
We were up in the Malheur National Forest last Saturday and got a couple photographs.
Guy had planned to go to a spot for photographs where we would hike around.
This was the first trip in our dodge ram we just picked up. Our chevy suburban is no longer and we like the Ram truck, but we really loved the suburban and of course it was paid off.
WOW did things not go as planned!
As a pair of bald eagles were perched in a tree I started making my way to them when Guy got my attention and pointed in the direction of this young Bald Eagle.
This past week has been CRAZY!!
Crazy good that is! This is not going to be a post about one species, I captured way to many things this past week for that.
So this is going to be a mix of photographs, a mix of adventures.
As I was sitting in my spot watching the birds, butterflies, bees just enjoying the nice weather we have here in the high desert of Oregon I looked over to one of our ponds and seen the swimming young frogs wanting their piece of bread.
Well, I can not just feed them one day and not the other right?
