This talk about what Barack Obama is doing to handle poverty.Wow, they are giving 20 billion dollars to food stamps, and that seems like so much to us, but really that will not feed all of the poverty in America.

I cant believe how much money it will cost us to help fight poverty and hunger. We already have everything that is needed for everyone to survive. It is just a problem of sharing it.

If i was one of those kids i would go mad out of my mind. Think of the kids who are 9 and younger live out side don't have food every day. How would you fill?

That just feels so unfair that kids are just born into this kinda thing. It's pretty sad that they can't get the right education to be successful in their lives because they were born poor :(((((

This article tells about how poverty in india hits evben harder thatn in america, here poverty could be at a job for 7 dollars an hour, but in india 25% of their population makes less than a dollar a day. 25% is a lot, becuase mostly the naion is over populated with people that take up most of the jobs. So in india they have somthing known as the "slums" kind of like a ghetto that we have here in the states, but people there live in poor poor living condtions, without running water, no flushing toilet, and no bath the poverty here would look like luxrury there.

This website suprises me, because it really shows where poverty is in the world. It's sad because here in america, it doesn't show anybody living under 1.25 dollars a day. :/

i agree with ryan, its sad that we have to read about these trageties and then you look at yourslef, and you get everything you want, and we are also complaining about not having one thing that we dont even need.

i hadn't ever realized how many people in the columbus area were in poverty like the columbus school district all the way up at 82%
