I love Iranian films. I think this article picked up on many key struggles that Iranian filmmakers face. Even though the picture shows pirated movies being sold, the article does not discuss the implications it has on filmmakers or even what it says about the people in Iran who buy them. From what I have read from other articles, it seems as though Iranian films are more acclaimed in Western countries- not only because of censorship laws but the Iranian public's choice of what movies to watch. TASTE OF CHERRY, mentioned in the article, is one of my favorite films.
