The Cloughjordan Ecovillage is a not-for-profit organisation developing an alternative model for sustainable living. The ecovillage aims to provide a healthy, satisfying and socially-rich lifestyle while minimising ecological impacts. 

Our 67-acre site includes beautiful and fertile land for growing food and trees to promote local food production and biodiversity. The ecovillage will also include:

The Community Hub will enable Lammas to promote low-impact development in Wales. It will provide a base from which to run tours, courses and open days.

The house is a stunning piece of design bathed in natural light and with its highly efficient heating system built into the walls. Earlier this month town planner David Mooney was finishing the foundation block work of his house, which will be built of cob -- an ancient building material created by mixing soil, clay, sand and straw to a consistency like dough, and used for centuries until it died out during the 19th century.

"What attracted me to the project is that it brings together a lot of the ideas and principles I believe in, all in one place. It's also interesting from the organisational side of it – there is no big boss telling you what to do. There is no developer involved, its consensus driven.

This site is part of a public education project created by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, and hosted by Truth Publishing. Its purpose is to educate and empower consumers with information they can use to prevent and even help reverse degenerative disease. There are no commercial sponsors of this site, and neither Mike Adams nor Truth Publishing was paid anything to create this site.
