NSDL is the nation's online portal for education and research on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The National Science Digital Library has a wealth of high quality digital resources to teach almost any topic in K-12 math and science. NSDL has constructed the following collections of "resource packs" for teaching to particular K12 subject areas, drawing resources from NSDL Pathways and other NSDL projects, and gathering these topical resource sets into a single location. On this page we have compiled resources for educators to use in the classroom.  The first section consists of modules developed at NESCent.  "Other Curriculum Resources" includes a list of various resources ranging from single lessons, to books, to computer simulations.  The "Audio and Video Lecture" section has links to single lectures, interviews, and science shows.  Some are are audio only while others include video. 

Learn to use Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man®, or OMIM®, a catalog of human genes and genetic conditions. OMIM is a foundational resource in genomics and is valuable for clinicians and biomedical researchers. OMIM links and data are found at sites all around the bioinformatics sphere, but understanding the full scope of OMIM's data and resources enable the most comprehensive understanding of human phenotypes and disease. OMIM contains full-text summaries of information from the scientific literature, and provides extensive links to the literature resources and other genomic resource tools as well. Use OMIM as a comprehensive first stop to find important information and gene links for human Mendelian disorders.

Biomimicry in Youth Education: A Resource Toolkit for K-12 Educators is a digital flipbook indexing over 80 biomimicry education resources, selected to assist teachers working with students from kindergarten through high school.  The collection includes quality lesson plans, curricular units, digital media, and more, gleaned from a broad survey of available materials. For educators new to the subject of biomimicry, the toolkit also offers a thorough introductory section containing an orientation to biomimicry’s core concepts and suggested strategies for communicating those ideas to students.

There are a significant number of genetics curriculum resources designed by different companies, curriculum development outlets, state curriculum designers and individual teachers. As part of the Geneticist-Educator Network of Alliances (GENA) Project, a Curriculum Content Review Committee was formed to review readily available classroom resources about patterns of inheritance. PBS created a three-part television series based off of Neil Shubin's best-selling book, Your Inner Fish. Along with the series, they have created an excellent website with teaching resources, video clips, and interactive features to guide you through the record of evolution in our bodies.

STEM resources

This interactive module introduces the anatomy of the immune system and walks through the timeline of a typical immune response.  The timeline includes the differences between the first time a pathogen is encountered versus subsequent infections, including an explanation of how vaccines work. Different tabs, videos, images, questions, and a detailed glossary of terms allow this resource to be explored at varying levels of depth depending on the class. Refer to the "Educator Resources" tab in the Click & Learn for implementation suggestions. 

The TEP Clearinghouse is an online compendium of science resources within targeted states. Laboratory-based programming at the state, national, and virtual level is highlighted, as well as public / private partnerships that are cost effective, replicable, scalable, and assessable. The Clearinghouse is available cost free to any teacher and all content listed is free to access and use in the classroom.  Over 1,200 resources have been identified to date.

Well organized teacher site- AP Biology Web site for Ms. Foglia's Regents Biology (10th grade Living Environment) course at Division Avenue High School, Levittown. It will be a busy year and I will use this Web site to help you to do the best you can. All paperwork, labs, and resources used or mentioned in class will be posted here.
