I love Beth's screencast about tagging which you can read about here. The content is wonderful and the production is great! I think Beth used just about every feature in Camtasia Studio! I love the organization and visuals she used in the screencast. There's a graphic below from her screencast about tagging.

Good advice, especially what NOT to do if you are making a screencast to demonstrate a software function with a desktop video.

Recording what is happening on your screen can be a pretty useful tool for teachers who want to create video tutorials or presentations for their classrooms. Many teachers are using screencasting tools but before you delve into what you're going to do with your screencast, you need to take a few moments to learn about the tools that are available to do the actual recording. recording skype conversations using audacity

Hi Grace, I have downloaded and used the add on for skype and it works like a charm. No worrying about all the bells and whistles and extras just click record and both ends are recorded. http://www.ecamm.com/mac/callrecorder/ This is the MAc version but I am sure they would have windows for the windows folk. Excellent screencast resources from the University of Westminster. Part of a JISC supported project. Good for help with things like Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects and Director etc as well as general web design skills.
