"Map of the Internet - First of its kind on such a scale, this map aims for succesful compendation of The Internet to scale suitable for standartized online navigation. This project is still underway, new versions of this map will be available in ulterior months. Due to the immense size of the Net, only a miniscule portion of it was chosen to represent it on the map.  Otherwise, this map would be unreadable and probably undrawable in entire lifespan of average human being. These fascinating Flash based maps trace the history of events and trends such as the march of democracy, and the Imperial History of the Middle East. The maps play in a flash player that can also be embedded in a blog or wiki. Another great tool for use with an IWB.

Six maps of Aboriginal Australia

"SepiaTown lets you view and share thousands of mapped historical images from around the globe." In most cases you can then compare the historical image with current images. At the moment there don't appear to be any Australian images posted so there is a great opportunity for Australian schools to become involved.

This is a browser-based tool with versatile features that combine photographs, videos, and blogging on interactive Google Maps and Google Earth. The tool features a chronological timeline that can be used for elaborate representation of school activities, presentations, and projects.
