    Good analogy.
    Keep it simple though seems like it is more for the end result the audience views.
    However, as the creator, sketching it out first does not seem simpler that just going right to creating slides.

    I have been in that trap a long time! In fact, that trap is often the same as the procrastination trap for me. My thought pattern is that if I can't do it with everything I got/know, then I am not doing it...until I can. Sounds like this is where dI need to apply the saying "just give me the meat and potatoes" (and not all the extra stuff).

    As an audience member, I have been "trained" to accept that a presentation's objective is transfer of information. This is a good reminder that transferred is not the same as learned.
