" ...images are intrinsic to digital storytelling's communicative possibilities. Students use images to construct arguments connecting theory, history and story in their projects. " -The Digital Storytelling Multimedia Archive In the field of education, teachers and their students, from early childhood classrooms through graduate school, are using digital storytelling in many different content areas and across a wide range of grade levels. This site presents digital essays, narratives, and interactive storytelling.
  •
We chose this website because it gives information about how to create digital stories to show to your class. We thought it was a different way to teach material that many teachers may not think to do. We thought that because it is not very common that when digital stories are shown to the class, they will be more interested in the material that is being taught.

TinEye Reverse Image Search - 1 views

  •
Tineye is a free tool that helps you conduct reverse image searches. In a reverse image search you're searching for the places where an image has been posted online. Conducting a reverse can be a good way for students to discover information about an object or location featured in a picture. As demonstrated above, when the image is located through Tineye students can click through to the source to see how the image was used and what was written about the image. Performing a reverse image search can provide students with a good lesson on digital footprints. Have them conduct a reverse image search for images they have posted online and then count the number of places where that image has appeared.

Tackk - Create, connect + chat with friends - 0 views

  •
"Tackk is a place connect with friends, be creative and have fun conversations." Based on what I learned from my short time of playing on Tackk's website, I have found it to be an interesting way to allow students to be engaged in their learning. One big use that comes to mind for me would be an online study guide. In history courses this could be particularly useful. You can add videos, maps, images, text, etc that the students can look over and review at their own pace.
