A collaborative list of ten of the best social bookmarking sites for educators, along with a brief summary of each site.

This list was created by Dr. Susan Stansberry. It is a collaborative grouping of games and simulations that will be extremely valuable for the classroom teacher wishing to incorporate games.

This website contains a variety of different educational, commercial-off-the-shelf, adventure, strategy, and social change games.

We assigned the class to make a lesson plan to learn how to incorporate games in the classroom. We told them to use this site to help aid them in finding games for their assignment.

This site is a great online tool to create informal formative assessments

Find a subject you would like the student to learn. For example, under the Language Arts subject there is a tab for the student to create a story. This will enhance the children's Language Arts skills.

(WEEK 12) We chose this resource because it deals with the importance and relevance of twitter chats to educational professionals.

This website is great because it is a complete step-by-step guide about twitter chats. This website gives instruction on joining and/or hosting a twitter chat. In addition to this instruction, the website offers information on separate twitter sites.

This site is an activities and ideas page from the Digital Learning Day in February 2016. It offers resources and activities to aid teachers in implementing digital citizenship resources within the classroom.

A good tool for elementary education majors. I enjoyed this because it already had creative and fun templates to choose from.

Weebly is a great site for creating your own classroom site. It allows you to include many different interactive features that are great for teachers, parents, and students. This site provides resources and curriculum for teachers to use in their classrooms. Including lessons, interactives, nearpod activities, assessments, and more.

S.O.S. for Information Literacy is a dynamic web-based multimedia resource for educators that promises to make a significant contribution to enhancing the teaching of information literacy skills to students in K-16. The project is currently in its final stage of development in which S.O.S. is being expanded for use by high school and college level educators.S.O.S. for Information Literacy will link lesson plans and teaching ideas to related real-world multimedia examples of excellence in teaching, especially focusing on collaborative efforts between classroom teachers and library media specialists in K-12. There are useful lesson plans, powerpoint, handouts, web pages, and activities for your students to learn about information literacy, plagiarism, and digital citizenship.

S.O.S is a site for helping to teach literacy in the classroom.

This site argues for the importance of Curation in terms of higher-order thinking associated with Bloom's Taxonomy. It also offers this information in podcast form.

This site offers a one-stop-shop for teacher websites filled with lesson plans designed by teachers.

Weebly is a website creator. Teachers can use this site in order to make their teacher website or to make a classroom website. With the teacher site, teachers can show schools, students, parents, and other teachers what kind of teacher that they are. For the class website the teacher can post information about what is happening in classroom for parents to see.

This website includes details about how each individual in the classroom can benefit by using Diigo, and it also includes a video located at the bottom of the page.

Beyond extended student learning, Diigo can be used as a form of professional development. Diigo has several educator groups that are active in sharing and collaborating on bookmarks relevant to education. This group has almost 10,000 members. You can find over 200 other Diigo K-12 education groups here.

This website is great for those teachers newly using Diigo as a technology resource for their classroom. Exploring this website really helped give me the basics and help me brain storm ideas for my classroom.

Edmodo is a site that allows teachers to make pages that their students/parents can join to get important information. As the teacher you can post important information that you want your students/parents to know. You can create polls that the members of the page can answer. Teachers can make quiz's and assignments to be completed and graded on Edmodo. This Collaboration tool is great for teachers, students, and parents to have a place where you can see all of the information that you need for the class

This is a great resource for how to use iPad's in the classroom. This site has everything one needs to know about how to incorporate the iPad and great lesson plan ideas.
