The topic we were assigned for our lesson plan. This website serves as an interactive "textbook" that has discussions areas at the end of each chapter.

Edmodo is a site that allows teachers to make pages that their students/parents can join to get important information. As the teacher you can post important information that you want your students/parents to know. You can create polls that the members of the page can answer. Teachers can make quiz's and assignments to be completed and graded on Edmodo. This Collaboration tool is great for teachers, students, and parents to have a place where you can see all of the information that you need for the class

This is an online tool for students with choices of way to learn. Students are allow to choose ways of learning and also to demonstrating what they did for their assignments. This online tool is meant to engage and accommodate for all students in general.

Wikispaces can be used as a discussion forum or as a learning management system where teachers can post projects, announcements, and assignments.

This can be used on a desktop computer or found in the app store. It allows students to create mind maps, storyboards or basic outlines of an assignment.

This website goes into detail about what Project Based Learning is. This is a great tool other than the textbook to get a complete grasp on the concept. Not only does it describe PBL as "a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge", but it also provides steps to follow when creating an engaging PBL assignment lesson plan. These steps include: Key Knowledge, Challenging Problem, Sustained Inquiry, Authenticity, Student Voice & Choice, Reflection, Critique & Revision, and Public Product. Following this list of steps and making sure the lesson plan provides all of these points will make for an engaging class. Another component this website contains is a blog for educators to post about the Project Based lessons they implemented in the classroom. I believe sharing ideas with other teachers is one of the most helpful ways to improve your own teaching because you receive feedback and encouragement to what you are doing well, and what can be changed for the benefit of the class.

This tool is a particularly great due to it's simplicity. It allows students and teachers to create groups and enables those groups to have easy communication with one another. This site can send emails and text messages. It makes group assignments a lot easier.

Bag The Web is a great place to collect and organize resources into "bags." Students and teachers can collaborate and share resources. They can search and organize resources for assignments and have the option to embed them into a site.

This is a social bookmarking tool that is set up like Pinterest. Great way to organize and find new ideas.

I really like this website because she has so many great ideas and links to other games and websites. I have also used this website for other classes and it has been very helpful.

This is a website within classjump.com (collaboration tool) that one school created so teachers, faculty, students, and parents can collaborate and keep open lines of communication. From this site, you can view any teachers lesson plan for any particular class, as well as, get updated on upcoming events. Within this one site, there are many subpages that are easily organized so that any teacher, student, or parent can access the information they need. Assignments, payments, events, and many other things have been collaborated on this one website to make communication at any level much easier.
