This is a very information-rich site that further introduces the PLN and delves into several different avenues a teacher can take in developing their PLN, with one avenue explored being Twitter. I particularly found the Step 6: Curation page to be intriguing. This page introduces curation, the strategic collection and compilation of knowledge and media found online, and demonstrates how it can be a valuable tool for educators engaged in expanding and sharing their constant learning and teaching journeys (See the video towards the middle of the page where a teacher shows his netvibes and scoopit accounts, and the very complex ways in which teachers can organize and share knowledge from these information collection/filtering tools. VERY valuable for our fast-paced and information-heavy time.)

Helpful resources for teaching and promoting digital citizenship in your classroom

The greatest software invented for human safety is the human brain. It's time that we start using those brains. We must mix head knowledge with action. In my classroom, I use two essential approaches in the digital citizenship curriculum that I teach: proactive knowledge and experiential knowledge.

Mashpedia fetches contents from different online sources in real-time, and aggregates everything in a user-friendly interface, presenting an organized outlook for every topic that includes: Information from Wikipedia, recent news, books, videos, images, social answers, twitter messages and related Facebook pages - all related to the topic in question.

With the recent internet encryption bug, named Heartbleed, there are a number of steps you really should take to secure your online data.

Wiggio is a website is similar to facebook and twitter and you can work in groups easily, and it is a single website that brings many different aspects together in one simple website. My big campus is a website that makes it easy for teachers to collaborate with other teachers, students, as well as parents. On top of these, my big campus is also great at helping to create lesson plans, and track your students success. Goorulearning is a website that allows teachers and students to learn in new and fun ways. You can gear the quizzes and study guides for the specific grade you are teaching. Mrs. Cornejos blog is a great example of a blog that each person in our group could see using and even gearing our own blogs around. This blog is a great way to keep parents involved in what is happening in the classroom. Mrs. Anderson's website is an example of a wiki website and is similar to a blog and students can get involved as well.

Several options to continually assess students in many different ways
