20 Web 2.0 Tools for Teachers is the title of a nice slide presentation created by Simon Ward. Ward's presentation contains some very familiar sites like Delicious and also includes some lesser-known sites. In fact, there were a few sites in the slide presentation that I don't recall ever seeing before. Take a few minutes to go through the presentation and you might find a new-to-you tool too.

http://www.e-learningforkids.org is a great site that provides free e-courses for kids all around the world. This site has engaging and interactive courses for kids in online safety, computer skills such as using Google, typing, and core subjects like language arts, math, and science. Most of the courses are for elementary school-aged children, and involve dynamic avatars, and are highly interactive.

While digital textbooks were reviewed for their alignment with the content standards, California's Social Content Review criteria were not applied during this phase. Districts, schools, and individuals planning to take advantage of these books are reminded to conduct their own reviews to determine whether these resources meet their needs.
