The purpose of this activity is to scale up investments in green infrastructure (GI) in Peru as a strategy to regulate water supply and increase resilience to climate change. Direct beneficiaries are urban and rural populations and productive sectors, such as agriculture, vulnerable to water scarcity and floods.

The ever-changing patterns of globally mobile populations and the incidence and prevalence of disease in these populations are important factors in monitoring, preventing, and controlling disease importation and/or spread in U.S. populations. A better understanding of the scope and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases in globally mobile populations is needed in order to improve public health practices and interventions aimed at preventing illness in refugees, immigrants, travelers and domestic populations. The purpose of this NOFO is to conduct public health research on endemic, neglected, emerging or re-emerging infectious diseases, and other conditions of public health importance, in U.S. bound refugees and other globally mobile populations, in order to promote health and prevent disease in domestic and international populations.

This Annual Program Statement (APS) is designed to describe and provide a process through which organizations can work with USAID/Guinea and the private sector and/or Non U.S. Non-Governmental Organization to build an Alliance that: a) address important business or community interests and objectives, b) advance USAID's strategic priorities and objectives; and c) achieve sustainable development outcomes, results and impact. The Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs Office of Assistance Coordination (NEA/AC) announces a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to increase the Tunisian government’s accountability and responsiveness to citizens’ concerns over corruption. The successful applicant will assist the Financial Judiciary Pole (FJP), established under the authority of the Government of Tunisia’s Higher Judicial Council, develop the institutional framework and technical capacity to achieve its mission to transparently investigate and prosecute financial corruption cases in Tunisia. Proposed activities under this opportunity must not overlap with existing reform efforts of the Tunisian judiciary.

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement (PM/WRA) is pleased to invite eligible organizations to submit grant applications for humanitarian demining and explosive ordnance disposal in Afghanistan during fiscal year 2017. Specific goals, objectives, and technical requirements for application packages are detailed below. PM/WRA anticipates awarding up to $2,600,000 under this grant opportunity.

Public Affairs Section (PAS) seeks to provide Iraqi youth with educational opportunities through English-language instruction in accordance with Mission Iraq goals. The English Access Micro-scholarship Program for Central and Southern Iraq will provide a foundation of English language skills to non-elite, 13 to 18 year-old students through after-school classes and intensive summer activities over a two-year period. Access Program students also gain an appreciation for American culture and democratic values, increase their ability to participate successfully in the socio-economic development of their countries, and gain the ability to compete for and participate in future U.S. Government-sponsored educational programs. Subject to the availability of funds, the Embassy expects to award a grant up to $380,000 to carry out the English Access Micro-scholarship Program for Central and Southern Iraq over a twenty-four month time frame.

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a pilot Program in Media Literacy. PAS invites organizations to submit proposals for an up-to- 24 months project to improve media literacy skills among young Georgians between the ages of 16 - 24 to include ethnic minorities and people at risk of being socially marginalized. Expected results include an increase of at least 20% in program participants' ability to distinguish trustworthy news from fake news and an increase of at least 20% in those who cross-check the information from the news.

The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of East Asia Pacific Affairs (EAP) announces an open competition for an environmental award of up to 246,850 to support a local and regional small-scale public health project in the Lower Mekong countries of Southeast Asia. Under the Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI) EAP and the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs (OES) work together to improve human health thereby promoting economic growth throughout the region. Guided by the specific objectives from the LMI 2016-2020 Master Plan of Action, this project seeks to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) through the development of National AMR Resistance Action Plans. The United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, acting through the Office of Public Affairs, is pleased to announce a Notice of funding opportunities for two types of Civic Education programs that address school segregation or other problems that divide students along ethnic lines. These projects should advance Education for Democracy and Hhelp remove obstacles to integration in education. Small grants competition will support projects designed explicitly as home-stay exchange programs to contribute to democracy and human rights education with interaction and the development of tolerance between the ethnically, religiously and geographically diverse communities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to the core exchange program activities, the mandatory requirement is a component of family engagement in which participants will stay in the homes of fellow participants from different ethnic or religious backgrounds, and engage in volunteer projects in both communities. Priority will be given to innovative programs that bring together youth (ages 12-24) from communities across ethnic, geographical, and administrative lines and engage large number of youth in community improvement activity in each host town. Detailed budget should be expressed in USD, with a maximum amount of $20,000.

The main objectives of Afghanistan Job Creation Program (AJCP) are 1) to generate revenue and sustainable jobs by supporting value chain development and 2) to support trade promotion and facilitate Afghan businesses in increasing exports.

INL is currently seeking an organization with the requisite capability and experience to support Georgian communities in preventing juvenile delinquency through social justice activities for Georgian youth in coordination with the Georgian Police, and continuing to affect a fundamental shift of thinking within the police, courts, and community towards restorative justice elements. INL is currently seeking a recipient to provide prioritized attention to as many of the following key objectives as possible. Note that special consideration will be given to creative non-traditional program methods. Grantee should demonstrate how proposed strategies and community-based alternative justice programs will build on existing alliances with police, judicial and other relevant structures for the sustainable adoption and expansion of the current alternative juvenile justice best models and practices.

The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL, or the Department, or we), announces the availability of approximately $4 million total costs for one or more cooperative agreements to fund a technical assistance project(s) in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to improve labor market efficiency and performance. The project intends to improve labor market efficiency by assisting governments in all three countries develop labor market information (LMI) systems that publish reliable, comprehensive, and current LMI in user-friendly formats. The LMI systems are expected to: 1) enable educational and workforce training providers to help job-seekers and youth develop in-demand job skills, 2) help businesses more easily identify and hire qualified workers, and 3) enable governments to craft effective labor market policies. The project will also support LMI systems that generate data that are comparable across all three countries. The applicant must work with the official statistical agency in each country on the collection and validation of data and with those or other agencies on the analysis and dissemination of LMI, as appropriate for each country context.
