This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for studies on the complications of type 1 diabetes using subjects and/or samples from clinical studies on type 1 diabetes.

All activities pursued by Diabetes Research Centers are designed to enhance the efficiency, productivity, effectiveness and multidisciplinary nature of research in Diabetes Research Center topic areas. 

The purpose of this FOA is to invite applications for Genomics, Epigenomics, and Transcriptomics Chemical Analysis Sites to join the Molecular Transducers of Physical Activity Consortium. Awards made through this FOA will support the establishment of sites that will use appropriate technology to conduct genomics, epigenomics, and transcriptomics analysis of tissues collected from human participants and animals undergoing a physical activity intervention, contribute that data to a public consortium database, and participate in the initial statistical analysis to generate fingerprints of candidate molecular transducers of physical activity.

The overall goals of the Bioinformatics Center are to provide a database and associated tools for storage and integration of clinical physiological and metabolic data along with multiple types of chemical analysis data derived through metabolomics, proteomics, genomics, transcriptomics, or similar technologies. 

CURE seeks to promote the careers of young investigators to allow them to develop a research focus independent of their mentor(s). Researchers may propose basic or clinical studies, but this award mechanism is not intended to support clinical trials. Research that involves collaboration and a multidisciplinary approach is desirable. Applicant will be required to discuss how this avenue of research is independent from his or her mentor's research, and will lead him or her to a path of independent epilepsy research.

he purpose of the Knockout Mouse Phenotyping Project (KOMP2) is to produce a comprehensive resource of null-mutant mice, and associated phenotype data, for the purpose of elucidating functional information for each protein-coding gene in the mammalian genome. The goal of this FOA is to provide informatics support to NIH funded projects that are performing high-throughput broad based phenotyping of mouse knock-out (KO) lines (see RFA-RM-15-017) and to coordinate with international efforts so as to integrate all data into a common database under the auspices of the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC).
