Axel Planté-Bordeneuve posts this episode of 1 Jour 1 Question, which is a 1 minute and 40 second video in French created for children that summarizes how the French language was "born," starting from Latin and evolving to what we now call French. This could be a great listening and history lesson.

This website takes stories from the news and translates them into Spanish. You can then listen to the story read by a native speaker at two different speeds. Additionally each word or phrase in the article when hovered over shows the English translation of the word. The website has many articles available at any given time, so students are able to find something that is interesting to them. 

Here you'll find all the episodes from Radio D, Deutsche Welle's new radio language course. The material is geared towards beginners who have no or very little previous experience with German. Emphasis is placed on listening comprehension and each of the audio episodes is accompanied by a text manuscript. The course was developed in cooperation with the Goethe Institute and covers levels A1 and A2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF).
