I think this website would appeal to kids to foster comprehension strategies--lots of visuals and good clear voice as students (grades 3-8--probably best) self select what they want to do (e.g., visualization).
We're all always looking for lists and resources that support great literacy instruction--this is a list of short text recommendations that you can use and it comes with a downloadable annotated bibliography.
Pogue is someone to watch. I use many Google Apps and this might replace my use of Skype. Check it out. Internationally, I get 'bumped' from Skype easily, so I am curious about this Google application.
