You students can use words to create pictures--lots of potential for creativity here and summarzing learning.

I think this website would appeal to kids to foster comprehension strategies--lots of visuals and good clear voice as students (grades 3-8--probably best) self select what they want to do (e.g., visualization).

Juxio--multimedia communication (facebook, twitter, email) Lots of potential here for communication--could, for example, send home for updates on class work (digital mulitmedia news letter).

Ed Tech idea--lots of tools and websites.

Online publishing--can add digital images (own, flickr), publish and embed. Lots of potential here.

Assessment of Technology Literacy

Another mindmaking tool--looks easy--potential for classroom for visualization (summary of content, writing, brainstorming and more).

Worksheet maker--not crazy over worksheets myself, but I see potential in students making some of these too.

Symbaloo allows you to set your own desktop to the websites you use most often. I see lots of potential for organizing your classroom computer for display purposes, particularly with young children.

You can add your picture in the contex of your choice. Looks easy and fun for kids.

Glogster is an online FREE interactive poster tool. Ability to add hyperlinked video, insert digital images and voice (mp3)--lots of ways to personalize. Great potential (e.g., introduce self in course, individual book reports, group projects). EASY to use.

I just found this this week!! I love it. I think I might use it for our WWII unit, or disUtopian book reports, or as a culminating activity for my postcards from the past/postcard to the future workshop! So many uses!!

Lots of choice on making brochures for content presentation. Free.

Grockit is an online social learning community--good for test preparation for SAT, ACT, GRE etc. Of course, they are trying to get you to purchase theiri online test preparation program. Might be helpful to persons working with secondary learners.
