Remember Life Magazine--always had great images. Here are public domain images that your students can use without fear of copyright infringement. Some were published images and some were not. Images are separated by decades starting in 1860. Would be good for historical perspectives as well as today.
"Fast layout and customisation of photos, video, text and music.
Add media hotspots, narrate interactivity. Publish to any webpage" Lots of recommendations, many of which are in RWL 513.
Upload photos, record voice and share...free. Again, I see potential for publishing--could have book reviews, commentary and more on classroom webpage.
Great podcast from Peter Johnston wherein he discusses the impact of language on students' perspectives (e.g., culture of language of strategies) and knowledge. Worth a listen!
You can turn a doc, PPt and more into an interactive book. I see lots of potential here if you write books with students that are then shared with families. Free, of course!
