It's an iPad program for teachers and students. If a school has a iPad cart, the iPads are distributed to a class of students and then the teacher uses his/her iPad to push PPt's, movies, documents to the students individual iPads. It's very interactive and the teacher can wait for students to respond on their iPads (questions, drawings, quizzes, etc.) before going forward with the lesson. The teacher obtains a roster of students participating and see how each is doing with the lesson tasks.

Google play for K-12 schools. You should be aware of this change. of course, it's a marketing strategy, but it should benefit schools.

You can turn a doc, PPt and more into an interactive book. I see lots of potential here if you write books with students that are then shared with families. Free, of course!

American Museum of Natural History--great interactive website with lots of science and social studies information and games.. Kids can post questions. Appropriate for CA 7-12.

Pogue is someone to watch. I use many Google Apps and this might replace my use of Skype. Check it out. CmapTools (free, of course) allow for the developing of concept maps and you can link to images, videos, documents, etc. Not quite as flexible as Inspiration (which is my favorite, but it costs money), but a good option.

SafeShare.tv -- you can view YouTube videos without displaying the related videos and associated comments. Justsimply copy the url of a YouTube video and paste it into SafeShare.tv. Free, of course.
