I don't think it fair to impose on teachers that they share their social media life with their students, though the new tools are making it so we can let some people in "just a little bit" or only as much as we want. Students won't join social media for school if there is any concern that they will then be fully revealed to their teachers, so I think we have to be more compartmentalized than this article implies.
