NIST Year 8 Development

 The UNDP presented this video to update us about the development and the lifestyle in Kenya. There are now new irrigation systems that have improved crop yields, better rail roads and communications have opened wider market possibilities. They also have developed new schools offer opportunities to children in these rural communities that their parents never had. 

This video was created by volunteers and participants from UNDP from around the world. Adding all the groups of participants they managed to video more or less than 100 countries. The purpose of the video was for us to get gimps of daily lives of people from different countries. This video was for people who didn't participate to be able to see what they do and how they can help. The video is about how the participants helped the different countries electronic system, helping elections somewhere in the world, help build homes, etc. Basically it is a summary video of what they do when they go to different countries in the event of "one day on earth". 

This video is created by UNDP to show the purpose of the soccer match between Olympiacos FC and UNDP, to raise awareness for the people that suffered during the tragedies in Haiti and Pakistan. This video is a video showing football star Zinedine Zidane being interviewed about the game and what impact in can have on the people.

I think the movie was made because they wanted people to also buy the tickets to watch the soccer match and at the same time they want to let us know that we are also helping different countries. The video is about a soccer match that's being held to raise money and awareness for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nation's global development network. It advocates for change and connect countries to knowledge, experience, and resources to develop lives. The UNDP settles in 177 countries working for solutions to global and national issues.  The two goodwill ambassadors, Zinedine and Ronaldo are organizing a football event fund into recovery efforts for the catastrophic disasters that hit Haiti and Pakistan this year. The intended level of audience is for people who are interested in development and matches against poverty.  The UNDP are aiming to make the world a better place by sharing and connecting knowledge between countries which creates a better lifestyle for the citizens, and making us share human development concern and commitment.

UNDP and One Day on Earth have partnered up with each other. This has benefitted the UNDP community, as they are now able to film in over 100 countries. The results of this exclusive idea will help many countries film about victory, hope and fear and many documents will be taking place every day. This will then be able to convert and be put together and made into a long documentary which is assumed to be released next year. 

This video was created by UNDP and is called Haiti One Year Anniversary. I think the purpose of this video is for us people to see how other people have it and how hard it is for them to live. I think it might also be because they want us (wealthy people) to see this video and might consider donating money to them. I think this video is made of wealthy people. The video is about how the people in Haiti are surviving and developing after the terrible disaster with the earthquake. 

Human Development Report 2010 - Indonesia In this video UNDP is talking about how easy it is to get a job in Indonesia now. They are talking about how easy it is from the past to now and that if a person need's a job (especially teenage girls) it's Jakarta. I think that there might be a little bit of bias in this video because the people that they interview say how good their country is, but that's the main purpose of the video, how good Malaysia is getting. I think this video is out for people who might be looking for jobs. The video is about how Malaysia is getting better with giving out jobs and that the workers like them.

The UNDP have also created this video to inform the world that they have begun to harvest olive trees as it is summer. They say that in this time of the year the olive trees help the economy systems rise and shine. Families help pick olives which are either pressed for olive oil or picked. This helps make the life easier of the UNDP foundation.

The United Nations Development Program also known and UNDP made this video in order to inform the audiences about the climate changes and environmental disasters Bangladesh face due to their location. Its massive rivers and vast low-lying flood plains are the causes for flood, drought, and storms. As a result, protective coastal greenbelts can make a difference and save life and death situations which occur due to severe weather changes. UNDP is now working with the Bangladesh Government to help make this possible.

Human Development Report 2010 - Democratic Republic of Congo  The authors (UNDP) are caring people because she wants to raise awareness and let people know that bad things are happening in the Congo. I think that the main purpose of this video is to tell other people just about how horrible some people's lives are and that over time it doesn't get better. I see a little bit of bias but a very little amount. There is a white lady that talks about how bad the country, but the locals also talk about how bad the country. I think that the video is intended to anyone that can understand world problems. This video is about Democratic Republic of Congo and how bad there living is, like how hard it is to survive.

The UNDP are aiming to make the world a better place by sharing and connecting knowledge between countries which creates a better lifestyle for the citizens, and making us share human development concern and commitment. 

This video is created by UNDP in a special interview during a football match between Olympiacos FC and UNDP. Its main purpose is to show Ronaldo's views on the football match being played and how it can help people living in poverty. This video is intended for Ronaldo fans wanting to hear about what Ronaldo is doing in order to help the world. All this video is, is pretty much a 20 second interview with Brazilian footballing star Ronaldo on the project he is currently working on. 

This video is created by UNDP. It was a video documentary of when Helen Clark went to visit the project in Harlem on 11.11.11. The project was about helping women prepare for jobs and their future careers; they learned how to cook in hot kitchen. The purpose of this video was to communicate with people how they help women generate jobs in the United States. Also how it helps the women for further kitchen careers that they choose to do. There is also cashiering and cooking and baking. I think the main audiences for this video would be women who are willing to be trained for a better future. All these women have a passion for cooking so then UNDP help these women become professionals in what they have passion for. So this video was pretty much about how UNDP are trying to help immigrants or people from America to become professionals in what they passion most. Also how they help them to become better in things they love and lead them to have a better future. 

This video was created by UNDP and is called Tanzania - World Water Day / One Day on Earth. I think the purpose of this video is for people to see the work that UNDP has done for the people in Tanzania. I think the video is made for people to learn more about the troubles that the people in Tanzania. The video is about how UNDP has donated and is supporting a foundation that is making a river so the people can get water into their houses. 

The UNDP, also known as the Unites Nation Development Program created this video. The UNDP are now working to help china restore their wetlands which were affected. By doing this they have intentionally helped saved lives of many.  UNDP's efforts have also greatly increased public awareness about the importance of wetlands.

The United Nations in Myanmar have created this video to update and show the world that they are trying to step up their efforts in order to achieve Millennium Development Goals. The Myanmar's have successfully asked all 193 United Nations member states to help them achieve this by 2015. Millennium Development Goals include help reducing risking poverty, child death rates, fighting dangerous diseases such as AIDS and developing a global partnership. 

UNDP created this video. It was a video diary of the UNDP going around Afghanistan on 11.11.11 and attending a meeting with women leaders. The purpose of the video was to show/tell people that the gender of leaders doesn't matter (so it is trying to communicate to use that there shouldn't be any sexism). The audience is probably men who are sexist and don't give chances for women to lead the men and maybe it could also be for women who don't have enough faith in themselves and think lowly of women and think that men are rightfully supposed to lead. The video was about women who are a group of leaders that are pretty much like governors for people in Afghanistan. There is a head leader of the meeting which is a woman. Even one member of this group suggests that having a women leader has made a great impact on the community. Then what is weird for the people in Afghan is that most men there look down upon women (don't think they should lead) but to this leader (which is a woman aka: SEXIST) they listen to her and aspects things that she says and even follows her suggestions.
