hbcom2020 on 23 Mar 20When we say a 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet switch, it's the same thing as a gigabit switch. Gigabit switch means a switch that supports all the 3 transmission rates as 10Mbps, 100Mbps, and 1000Mbps. When it's connected with a device, it will automatically detect the rate needed and transmit with that specific rate, we do not need to deal with any configuration. In today's market, the gigabit switch takes a huge part and have replaced many of the 10/100Mbps devices. Gigabit Ethernet switches are working in the same way, only the data transmission rate is much bigger than the fast Ethernet switches. Small offices and homes always choose gigabit switch in a Local Lan Network. It allows more than one device to share an Internet connection.
