Create a calendar for yourself or your classroom. This is great tool to keep on task and not be late or miss important events. You can use this widget/module to post upcoming events happening in the school or when assignments are due. You will be able to keep in touch with your students when important assignments and tests are coming up. Parents can also have access to this page so they know are aware of upcoming events too. This module is a great communication tool for you and your students/parents or simple use this on your private page to stay organized with your everyday events.

I read Chantelles blog regarding the tool she researched called Pageflakes. Pageflakes is similar to Netvibes. If NetVibes is not for you, Pageflakes might be. There is also an interesting aricle by Phil regarding Pageflakes. There are less options to use in the Pageflakes vs the NetVibes.
