It offers a comprehensive list of tech tools which you can use for your online and offline teaching.

Excellent FREE site for math and sciences. All grade levels. Short video clips using a blackboard with verbal direction. Great depth of content available. Would be helpful to post on course site, saving you from creating the videos.

Thank you for sharing this link. I just heard about these free videos yesterday and was quite impressed and curious about them. I'd like to find a similar great resource for my discipline of accounting.

From kindergarten to calculus, Khan Academy is here to help. You may have heard about our videos, but did you know that Khan Academy has fun interactive math exercises that cover skills ranging from counting to calculus, grade by grade? Every exercise has step-by-step hints, so your child can practice as much as needed.

This can be used as an ice breaker (helps to get get your course off to a great start, build community and get students focused on being successful). If feasible, break students into small groups and have them pick a quotation that would be a good "motto" for the course.

The Internet Scout Report is a weekly newsletter of sorts that shares some excellent internet resources that can be used in teaching (subscribe for free). Every week, I find myself forwarding at least two or three resources to our faculty, and the response has been very positive.

Contemplating letting students have access through the subsequent semester, as well.

The Interesting Ways series continues to be a great example of crowdsourcing good quality classroom ideas. It is remarkable what can be achieved and created together if you give people the right way to do it. I like this guy and joined his resource group. I encourage you to check out some of the great ideas for brining technology into the classroom.

I know many people use Google Docs for collaborative writing - I used to use Google Docs all the time as well, but OneNote Online is my new favorite! It has a book-like layout and you can create several tabs for different groups so everyone has their own space (their own page in a tab), which is less confusing than Google Docs.

According to ACTFL, foreign language learners need as much as 240+ hours of input to reach an intermediate level of proficiency. I'm looking into ways to use Twitter together with other applications like Feedly to encourage students to become autonomous learners and get more input from authentic francophone listening and reading sources. I can help them navigate through the sea of information available by sending them my suggested feeds and then practice using the target language by discussing topics together. Feedly is used to create a personal list of RSS feeds to favorite online news, video, audio and learning sources and save, publish and/or share them with others via an RSS reader application or even Twitter.

Facebook and Twitter may be ubiquitous, but there are many other social media tools out there that can enhance teaching and learning. Here, three educators share their favorites.

CourseSites by Blackboard is a free learning management system for K12 and Higher Ed Instructors enabling blended & eLearning. I have used this tool a few times before. This is great because it is exactly like BlackBoard. With CourseSites you can do trial and error, and it's ok because students will not see it. Also, CourseSites allow you to add students, if you do not have BlackBoard or any other online learning site that your campus offers.

Adobe offers a number of free courses that can help you learn tech tools. Some of the courses are self-paced and others are collaborative. Occasionally they have an extensive Train the Trainer course. When I took it in 2016, it was an 8 week course with an additional 20 days tacked on to the end to finish course requirements. I liked the focus on the importance of creativity in education and best practices in adult learning theory. It is the closet thing to a MOOC that I have taken. If you take it, pay close attention to how to track your posts...the platform makes it a little difficult to go back and look at the responses to your posts when you did not initiate the first post.
