Le kassa est un rythme Malinke très connu de la Guinée orientale. Le mot kassa signifie: silo à grains. Joué lors des récoltes dans les villages. Les musiciens jouent pour les cultivateurs qui sont souvent loin de leur village, et la musique les aide à travailler.
