Remix YouTube - 0 views

  •
This is an educational website, but you don't have to be in a school or university to use it. It takes as its model Kutiman's brilliant thru-you.com site, where he made seven new songs by remixing bits of video shared on YouTube. Included here for free are video tutorials which will show you how to create a basic remix just with the software that comes free on a Mac, or is available free on the internet. Windows users may be able to get the same results with Acid by Sony.

Metronome online provides users with free access to a metronome for performance practice.  This is a site I use a lot with my students.  The metronome is a facilitator for developing technique, especially with a musical instrument or voice.  Users can adjust tempos in order to practice passage at various speeds.
  •
This is a good free online metronome for students requiring a browser based metronome. There It also contains articles about metronomes and tempo. There are links to other products and downloads on the metronome page.

      Phenomenal resource for recordings!
  •
This site is potentially an excellent resource for classical music recordings. I checked out a few of the links to recordings and discovered that they were not completely intact, however, it is a great starting place when looking for specific recorded materials or to share with students.
  •

Tempo - metronome - 0 views

  •
Tempo is the bestselling and most accurate metronome on the App Store. Featured as "New and Noteworthy" and "Staff Favorite" by Apple on the main iTunes landing page. Same price as upgrading a free alternative. If you're going to demo free apps, why not give Tempo Lite a try?

"This application is a simple metronome. It's simple but has a very stable tempo, unlike some of the other free metronome applications. And unlike nearly all free applications this metronome has NO ADS so your kids won't be solicited by dating sites whilst practicing their instrument."

    a) The purpose of the resource is to provide interactive activities and games for students covering an array of musical subjects for use in and outside of the music classroom.(b) This resource covers EVERY national music standard! (c) I would use the free version of this site more for free-time activities and games.

Classical Music on Classical Archives: Home - 0 views

  •
Classical Archives is largest classical music site in the world, with access to countless sound files for free in which a teacher can use in the classroom.
  •
As with many sites, this one offers both free and premium accounts. This resource contains thousands of recordings of classical music. Even with a free account, students have access to a large number of recordings (though they are not, as one might say, the authoritative or preeminent performances).

Free music composition and notation software | MuseScore - 0 views

  •
MuseScore3 is full-featured, open-source music notation software. This software is installed directly on a computer, and has compatible versions for PC, Mac, and Linux operating systems. There is no online or "cloud" version of this software. Although MuseScore is free, it is a professional music notation alternative to Finale and Sibelius and is capable of producing high-quality musical scores in a variety of formats. MuseScore also has full capability to produce audio playback, export to audio, and generate MIDI files.
  •
MuseScore is a free music notation program that is easy to use and can produce easy to read, high quality sheet music for your ensembles. The interface is similar to other notation programs that you need to pay for. I have been using MuseScore to create etudes and warmups for my ensemble classes.
  •
MuseScore is a music composition and notation software used to write/notate music. It requires the user to download and install the application on their system. This application is easily accessible and is free of charge. It is a software that is updated almost every month to make the features better. Muse Score has an easy to use interface and is a good tool to use in class for children to write down their simple compositions. Students are able to play back their compositions to their classmates, print them out, and/or even share them online. While using MuseScore, students learn many different musical concepts like dynamics, timbre, form, texture, structure, melody, repetition, phrasing, rhythm, tone, to mention but a few. MuseScore enhances the musicianship of students.

This is the Choral Public Domain Library. Users can search this database of public domain choral works for classroom use.
  •
CPDL is an bottomless vat of choral music, most of it older than 100 years old and thus in the public domain. Not all music on here is in the public domain. The music that isn't is clearly noted as such.
  •
CPDL is a website devoted to choral music in public domain. All the music on the website free to download and use. Composers can also upload new music that is still free to the public. Donations are appreciated and used to keep the website running.
  •
The purpose of this resource is to provide free choral and vocal scores, text and translations. There is a huge database of material.
  •
This website offers many free choral pieces that can be used in the classroom. It assists in a budget-friendly way for performance classrooms to still have repertoire available.
  •
The purpose of this resource is to categorize and house a large quantity of choral music. As a resource this site could be used to find a range of music for performances, warm up exercise, chorales and instrumental playing. The options for voicing and parts in very broad which makes the amount of music available vast. When searching composers, it is best to know specifics as some composers share similar surnames.
