In Chinese history, Legalism (法家; literally "School of law") was one of the main philosophic currents during the Warring States Period (and before), although the term itself was invented in the Han dynasty and thus does not refer to an organized 'school' of thought.

This website has some useful information in it and it tells you all the different cities The Great Wall of China went through, which was handy for me. Not only does the website have information about The Great Wall of China, but other features of China.

The Grand Canal - 0 views

Although Venice is composed of islands and canals, the Grand Canal is the only really large one. It's shaped like a backwards letter S, and is approximately two miles long. At its widest point, at the Salute/San Marco (southern) end, it is roughly 350 feet wide; the normal width is about half that. I found this site to give me alot of information about the grand canal and how the people lived at the time. I would recomend this site to you if you are doing the grand canal.

Grand Canal of China - 0 views

大运河 The Grand Canal of China is the world's oldest and longest canal, far surpassing the next two grand canals of the world: Suez and Panama Canal. The building of the canal began in 486 B.C. during the Wu Dynasty. I found this site verry helpful towards just finding the importent facts aout the grand canal. It gave me a better understanding of the grand canal.

History of Fireworks - 1 views

Invention of Fireworks Many people associate fireworks with Independence Day, but their original use was in New Year's celebrations. Do you know how fireworks were invented? Legend tells of a Chinese cook who accidentally spilled saltpeter into a cooking fire, producing an interesting flame. Saltpeter, an ingredient in gunpowder, was used as a flavoring salt sometimes.
