Students love watching movies and using it as a tool to learn English can be effective and interesting. Here is a lesson plan that specifically designed for the topic of “Movies”by Bogglesworldesl.com. The lesson plan comes in two parts and teachers can use them according to the levels of their students. It also comes with several very useful worksheets that can be adapted.

Some practical teaching ideas for the primary classroom

These games and activities have been collected from various sources: past issues of the Fukushima JET newsletter, games books, various CLAIR and AJET teaching resource guides, and stuff left over from my predecessor. I apologize for not quoting sources, but I collected them in such a hurry when I first got here that I can’t find the original sources in most cases. It is safe to assume that I did not come up with all of these games, so please do not give me credit for doing so. You can, however, assume that all mistakes are mine.

In the Bag (submitted by Goodman Middle school @ WACA It's a Steal) This activity is one that isperformed without rehersal or preparation. The studenr relies on personal knowledge and experience to give a quick, impromptu speek to the groupc/class. Decorate a bag with the words "In The Bag" and make it look fun and creative. Copy phrases on strips of paper and place them in the bag. Students draw their topics from the bag and give a quick speech to the class. let each student pick a topic and remind them that they have 30 seconds or less to talk.
