Wild Sanctuary is a great resource that allows users to listen to the "sounds of nature" as recorded around the world. Wild Sanctuary offers Google Earth and Google Maps files of placemarks containing audio recordings from around the world. Each placemark features a recording of the sounds of nature (birds, waves, rivers, mammals, etc.) made at that location.
Resources from the summit workshop. All the presentations from the Summit are linked to the session schedule. Search strategies w/ Theile, and Google Docs w/Kafka were especially good.
The ability to make changes to the document is an issue for me. We are using Sign Up Genius at Northside. When parents sign up, they provide their email address and they get a reminder a few days before the conference (actual # of days is set by teacher). SU Genius integrates with Google Calendar too! Our guidance counselor used it for her monthly guidance lesson sign up. Participants can go in and change time slots if they need to. I schedule SRI testing with Sign Up Genius. Can you tell I love this site?
I saw this back in Dec 2010, but couldn't run it on my Mac due to browser issues. I tried it again in March 2011 and found that it worked with Google Chrome, but still not Safari:( Very cool tool!
