A funny video about the memorization issue in education. The narrator claims to make a student be graduated in 5 minutes. An exaggerated view to education. However, it is not completely wrong.

It is another controversial issue that the graduates who have associate degree regarding pre-school education can complete their full bachelor's degree with such system "2+2".

Actually, other countries such as Austria, South Korea and Germany has an issue that most of preschool teacher comes from 2 year vocational school. There are a lot of graduates of pre-school education from the faculties of education, though. To be optimistic, most of the pre-school teachers' education level will be higher not qualitatively maybe but quantitatively.

What do you think about this approach for college instruction? Can we apply it for young learners?

It seems from this video that computer-aided instruction is effective than teachers. One's cannot passing to the next unit unless succeeding the previous one seems to guarantee a student's comprehending a topic. Giving feedback after each unit is a serious issue for a learner.

That must be the way our 'constructivist' educational system should be. I'm really impressed by the way they teach.

This is video is generally about the time perception of people and its effects on human life. The first five minutes give background info, then it talks about the effects of time perception on educational processes. I found it very interesting, I hope will, too.

There are so many interesting metaphors. I liked them. The associations between educational concepts and time perception are very interesting in this video.

Songs have been prepared by STRCT(TÜBİTAK) to make students love schools. These are very intersting songs which are prepared according to the neccessities of the current times.

It is suprising to see that reputable universities set high standards for applicants, more exams to pass before entering. In Turkey, it is perceived as a success and indicator of giving great importance to establish at least a university in each city around the country. The quality of education should not be measured with the number of universities or the number of university graduates. The credentials of that graduates are far away important.

I totally agree with you. In recent years many universities were opened in Turkey. Most of them do not have any academic people to instruct the new students. It is not a sign of success for Turkey to have "many" but "unqualified" universities. Our unemployment rate is very high when compared to other countries in the world. So what is the logic for opening so many universities?

Science fields do not seem famous any more.

The important point in this case is that only girls who study for A-level physics are the ones who came from Girls' schools. It means that as the text stated, mix schools have a kind of characteristic that stereotype the physics as if it was boys' area. However, in my opinion, that's not true. Unless a job does not require so much muscles, it can be handled by both males and females. In physics, the brain, intelligence, and the disciplined work is necessary which are highly available in human beings, not just only in males.
