Zoom is teaming up with Facebook Inc. to make Zoom Whiteboard available in the social network's Oculus virtual reality headsets. Users will gain the ability to collaborate on documents and other files in a virtual room through Oculus Horizons Workrooms, a VR collaboration app available with Oculus headsets.

this is an interesting openlearning experience, the format is that of a cMOOC. cMOOCs are a great inspiration for me (helping me to 'get' peeragogy and inciting me to start our collaborative bookreading experiment).
Individuals and organizations use this environment to set in motion and contribute to crowd-based economic processes. They create or contribute to open and collaborative projects, they crowdsource resources and harness collective intelligence.
From the research side of things, we continue to see a strong correlation between the size of the model and the performance on many popular benchmarks. Universities can no longer compete on this. Academics can still make valuable research contributions by showing new ways to do things that work on smaller, publicly available models. However, it does put a number of research goals out of the realm of possibility without collaborating with large tech firms.
