Zebra Technologies makes printers for receipts, RFID, barcodes and kiosks. The company has already worked with Motorola Solutions for years, according to TechCrunch. This acquisition strategy will allow the two companies to join forces and continue providing the services they have previously worked on together. Previously, Motorola Solutions' handheld scanners were used to scan codes manufactured by Zebra Technologies.

With the acquisition of Myntra, Flipkart could be in a position to present serious competition to major e-commerce players like Amazon and Snapdeal. However, people close to the company told TechCrunch that the deal could be experiencing delays because of jurisdiction issues, meaning it could be a month or more for the deal to be finalized.

Multinational tech company Oracle recently announced its successful acquisition of MICROS Systems, Inc., a Maryland-based hospitality-centric hardware and software manufacturer. The merger, which was recently approved by the European Commission, totaled $5.3 billion at $68 per share, and is Oracle's most significant acquisition since purchasing Sun Microsystems in 2010, reports Bloomberg writer Dina Bass. Oracle has acquired approximately 100 companies over the last ten years, spending roughly $50 billion in the process.
