This little dancing robot is as cute as cute can be. I had to post this video of it dancing to music. It was developed by scientist (Hideki Kozima and programmed by Marek Michalowski) as a learning aid for children. The design of Keepon is very simple, just two eyes and a button nose It will certainly be a big hit when it goes onto sale in 2010. 

This website has a variety of different artists and musicians. The website creators will make a page for an artist if they like you work. I am happy to say that I was featured on the site as "Freshalex"  This is a good site if you want to get some more exposure, and if you like art in general.

I put this video together to show you how I turned myself into a cartoon. I did this because I noticed some services/websites out there that offer to turn your pictures into a cartoon for a fee / price. So to show you just how easy (or difficult) it can be I recorded myself turning myself (and partner) into a cartoon.

Gigpig is a great resource for local musicians and punters. It's a mashup of data contributed by its users and is basically a huge database. "Every member is encouraged to add bands, venues, gigs and pictures". Gigpig provides "forums, a gig calendar, music news and a powerful search function". CH

Devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architecture) in 2003, Pecha-kucha is a worldwide event which takes place in over 119 cities across the globe. It provides a forum for people to share and showcase their work and is aimed at people interested or involved in design, architure, art and craft. Each presenter is allowed to show 20 images for 20 seconds each which adds up to a six minute PowerPoint showcase of your work. Rate my drawings is an online drawing community. It provides a place for artists to show and develop their craft and features drawing tutorials, collaborative drawing on-line, chat, forums, competitions and feedback through ratings. It also has a link to rate my animations.

This is an interesting and imaginative approach to and use of craft.
