Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) developed and launched MedEdPORTAL as a free publishing venue and dissemination portal to support educators and learners as they create and use on-line teaching materials, assessment tools and faculty development resources.
"The AAMC has gathered a list of many of the milestones in medical knowledge and practice achieved at these institutions. The reported discoveries run from 1809 to the present. As new advances in patient care and research are realized, this site will be updated. "
"Achieving health equity requires reaching beyond the clinic and into communities. In this short video, the AAMC's Diversity Policy and Programs division shines a spotlight on the social determinants of health and how they shape an individual's opportunity for quality health and healthcare. The goal is to inspire changes that lead to the elimination of health disparities."
"This toolkit was designed to assist in creating a dialogue among current and future physicians about social media and issues regarding digital literacy and digital professionalism."
MedEd Portal is the AAMC's digital library of peer reviewed e-learning resources. These resources are free to use and made available to teachers under the Creative Commons Licence. To search and download the resources you will need to create an account.
"This exercise is a small group discussion about bias for medical students who have had at least some clinical experience, and designed to cultivate awareness that bias is inherent to all humans, including physicians, and can impact patient care. "
