The issue of pairing fan-created videos with recorded music is one that still awaits court ruling. Music companies are suing video sites for copyright infringement when fans upload self-created videos using songs from their copyrighted artists.

On Tuesday, Google introduced a new service called Google Buzz, a way for users of its Gmail service to share updates, photos and videos. The service will compete with sites like Facebook and Twitter, which are capturing an increasing percentage of the time people spend online.

It is intriguing to me that when Hulu decides to promote social interaction, or a sharing economy as Lessig would put it, they focus on prank videos and game based viewing.

Kongregate, which operates a web site for indie games, is announcing today it has had good success with its app platform for browser-based games.
