I actually have a contact through my grad program with a gentlemen who works expressly with schools in South Africa that use mobile phones for education. He has been spear-heading a program through Sprint, where they get old refurbished phones for use in South African schools.

Application lets you joing an online meeting from smartphone /tablet/whatever. We have been talking about web conferencing/meeting/learning in the Let's Talk Technology group for the past 2 months. Ran across this in the Android Marketplace today. Reviewers love it but seems to need 4G to work - something to watch in the future.
