In a world full of smartphones, augmented reality (AR) campaigns are a very smart and unique way for brands to engage with consumers. Instead of watching a television commercial, looking at an ad in a magazine, or seeing a quick web ad before your video, AR lets consumers actually interact with the brand.

The problem with augmented reality is its perception as digital gimmickry: a technology in search of a useful application that's often hijacked for novelty purposes. AR can make cartoon monsters jump out of crisp packets or make tweets float in the air above the place they were posted from, but there's little evidence that people enjoy this half as much as brands looking for an easy PR win, or AR technologists.

Nota for iPad will blow you away from the very first time you launch it. The interface and design are incredibly elegant and beautiful. It doesn't hurt that the information and features are just as powerful too.
