The National Archives has created a new web site to help educators teach with primary-source documents. The site, called DocsTeach, not only lets teachers explore thousands of documents in a variety of media from the National Archives holdings, but it also includes online tools to help teachers combine these materials and create engaging history activities that students can access over the internet.

Revizr is a new way for content creators to interact with their audience, in public or in private. You decide if you want to communicate privately, socially, or wiki-style to improve and update your work. Your revisers don't change your documents directly. They provide you with contextual comments and editing suggestions you can use at your discretion. You have the control you need when you're responsible for the results.

It's the place where you become the publisher: Upload a document, it's fast, easy, and totally free. Find and comment on thousands of great publications. Join a living library, where anyone finds publications about anything and share them with friends.

Isn't this a great example of the power of that tool. It's so much more than just a neat place to post a picture. It's a place to gather and talk and share. Great find.

Great site for any grade level teachings of being smart in cyberspace. Gives lesson plans to follow and all required students documents. FREE!!!!!

Syncdocs lets you "Go Google" by migrating all your files to Google's cloud. Simply select a folder on your PC, like "My Documents", Syncdocs copies it online and across all your computers, automatically. This folder is then kept in sync. Syncdocs integrates right into your desktop opening your files in Google Docs.

This blog post in History Tech shares several great tools for the iPad and iPod that educators could use. The most interesting tools I feel would be helpful for a Social Studies Teacher would be the US Historical Documents as well as the World Fact Book. My favorite Web 2.0 tool on this list which I have used is the My Congress application where you can learn more about those who represent you in the United States Congress. This tool would be great for government classes! All of these resources appear to be very helpful for educators.
