Literature Connection

The American Association for the Advancement of Science has announced winners in its 2009 AAAS/Subaru Science Books & Film competition. The middle grades science book winner is "How We Know What We Know About Our Changing Climate: Scientist and Kids Explore Global Warming," which children's science author Lynne Cherry describes as "a non-scary book about climate change science." The book examines evidence from the natural world, with the underlying message that children can help make a positive difference.
